I work Mon, We'd all day and then 7-11 on Fridays. I enjoy teaching and we had a wide variety of patients. We see kids all the way to the grave :)

Level 1 Trauma Center providing care to North Alabama and regional surrounding.

This is with Trauma Surgery. Primary setting is the STICU. Critical care, hands on procedures central venous lines, arterial lines, chest tube placement, ventilator management, general surgery, operating room experience, Exposure to multiple trauma involving all body systems, wound care, KCI wound vacs, in a diverse population with multiple health disparities.

Emergency Department Observation Unit

Huntsville Hospital 1st and 3rd shifts

Active, Level II ER. See’s all ages, with heavy mix and high volume of patients.

Student hours are usually 6a-6p with an occasional 10-10p offering. We do work 12 hour shifts. I work 14-16 shifts per month. There are a lot of learning opportunities in the ER.

Ambulatory infusion clinic; outpatient M-F 8a-5p.

We administer biologics to patients with chronic diseases such as MS, asthma, thyroid eye disease, HIV, RA, Alzheimer's, Crohn's, IDA, etc.

Sleep Medicine, Office setting

Sleep Medicine clinic that focuses on diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders from pediatric to gerontological ages.
