Welcome to the NPHF Scholarships and Awards page! NPHF has 2 scholarships and 8 awards available this year. We hope you will find that one of the following scholarships or awards matches your needs. Please:

These award application deadlines are November 15, 2011.

• NPHF/Procter & Gamble Endowed Scholarship in Community Service The NPHF/Procter & Gamble Endowed Scholarship in Community Service is awarded to one (1) nurse practitioner graduate student who has made a significant positive contribution in school, in the community, or in patient care while in the pursuit of an advanced degree. One scholarship will be awarded. Amount of award is $1,000.
  (Endowed scholarship through an educational grant from Procter & Gamble.)
• NPHF/Procter & Gamble Endowed Scholarship in Gastroenterology The NPHF/Procter & Gamble Endowed Scholarship in Gastroenterology is awarded to one (1) nurse practitioner graduate student whose clinical and/or research interests are in the field of gastroenterology. One scholarship will be awarded. Amount of award is $1,000.

• NPHF/Astellas Heart Health Through the Ages Award Program Three (3) awards will be given to practicing nurse practitioners and graduate nurse practitioner students whose service, research, or educational projects are related to promoting heart health. There will be one (1) award each in pediatrics, adult medicine, and geriatrics. Each recipient will receive an initial award of $3,000. Upon completion of the project, an additional $1,000 will be awarded to each recipient to support project dissemination (e.g. travel expenses for presenting at a regional/national meeting, editing a paper for publication; preparing a poster, etc.). The project must be completed within 2 years. Three (3) awards. Total amount of each award is $4,000.

• NPHF/Purdue Pharma L.P. Pain Management Awards—Five (5) awards will be given to practicing nurse practitioners and graduate nurse practitioner students whose research or educational projects are related to pain management. Priority will be given to projects that target pain relief while avoiding misuse/abuse/diversion. Each recipient will receive an initial award of $3,500. Upon completion of the project, an additional $1,500 will be awarded to each recipient to support project dissemination (e.g. travel expenses for presenting at a regional/national meeting, editing a paper for publication; preparing a poster, etc.). The project must be completed within 2 years. Five (5) awards. Total amount of each award is $5,000.
