The Community Engagement forum is a FREE event for all audiences, that includes:
- Screening of the documentary film My Mama Joe, Hope & Help, which is on the PBS platform and captures my own family experience of navigating care for my mother as a person living with Alzheimer’s dementia
- Panel discussion with area experts in caregiving, mental health, dementia navigation, and similar film themes
- Distribution of The Mama Joe Project Quick Reference Guide
- Information and materials from area agencies and organizations
- Concessions combo for attendees
Our goal is to better connect attendees to the information, support, and resources that are available in the community…not just for dementia, but for their health needs on all levels. Again, would you help by spreading the word with family, Faith community and those in your personal and professional networks in and near North Alabama. This event is truly meant for the community, and is appropriate for all audiences, including children, we also welcome churches, universities, even service organizations to bring large groups.
