- Thank you to all the attendees and exhibitors for making the 2016 NANPA Clinical Symposium a great success! Through your support we raised $1196 for the Joan Williamson Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund is now at $29,782.00. Thank you all!
- We are accepting nominations for the 2017 NANPA Board Members. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, please email that information to Janiece Smith, janiece0814@yahoo.com
- The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Out of Darkness Walk kick off and supply party will be on October 22, 2016 from 12-4 at the West End Grill. There will be door prizes, games, and some football. Attendance is free, however please bring non-perishable snacks that can be used at the November 6, Out of Darkness Walk.
- NANPA has partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to host The 2016 Huntsville Chapter Out of Darkness Walk. This is a fundraiser to raise awareness for suicide prevention. Please let Kari Kingsley know if you are interested in volunteering (carolineEkingsley@gmail.com). NANPA will be sponsoring the first aid booth and there are still many volunteer positions needed. The event is Sunday, November 6, 2016 @ Ditto Landing Marina in Huntsville from 2:30-4:30 pm. Attendance is FREE. Please go online to register at AFSP.org.
- November 10th the Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "Chamber Factor Meeting" and Nurse Practitioner Appreciation Party to celebrate nurse practitioner week and our collaboration with the Chamber. Meet and Greet Style. No charge. Members, non-members, volunteers. Medical factoids, Door prizes, Ribbon Cutting, We will invite the mayor. 6-8 pm. Watch for the email invitation from the Chamber and/or NANPA.
- April 20th 2017 is a second event partnering with the Chamber of Commerce called "An Update on Health Care in the City". - SAVE THE DATE
- The 2017 NANPA Symposium is scheduled for September 22 and 23 at Huntsville Marriott. The theme is Nurse Practitioners under the Big Top and we will have a circus theme. SAVE THE DATE
