Speakers

Kimberly Gordon
Kimberly Gordon DNP, CRNA

Kimberly Gordon, DNP, CRNA, co-founder of Healing Politics, is a reformed accountant having earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from John Carroll University in Ohio; a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; and a Doctor of Nursing practice at Yale University where she and a colleague developed the first-of-its-kind Campaign School for Nurses and Midwives. Gordon is an adjunct faculty member teaching health policy and leadership at the Wake Forest School of Medicine and Western Carolina University. She practices anesthesia per diem for Novant Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Gordon always has been involved in the nursing profession. First, in the N.C. Nurses Association, then the N.C. Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and most recently, as a board member of Healthcare Providers for Greater Access and the Government Relations Chair for the N.C. Organization of Nurse Leaders. She loves talking about nursing leadership, professionalism and political involvement with anyone who will listen. Gordon wishes that every nurse understood the powerful impact that they have on their communities, colleagues and the health care system. She believes that nurses working together could, quite literally, change the world.
