Overview
Kristine will focus on interviewing complex patients not responding to treatment and the consideration of a different diagnosis. Conditions addressed include bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and borderline personality disorder. Attendees will refine their skills understanding the pathophysiology of psychiatric conditions for improved treatment ofthese illnesses.
Speakers
Kristine has been a PMHNP for over 10 years and is certified as an Addictions Advanced Practice Nurse. She has experience working in residential addictions treatment centers, involuntary hospitalization, and at a university clinic seeing graduate and undergraduate students, where she also provides psychiatric consultation to primary care providers. In addition to her clinical work, she is passionate about supporting ARNP practice by volunteering for AAPPN, where she served on the board for 6 years including as President and on their legislative committee, and is also on ARNPs United's legislative committee. In her free time, she enjoys time outdoors with her family, a nice glass of wine, and a good high-intensity interval training workout.
